2000trees
6th-8th July 2017 | Upcote Farm, Withington, Cheltenham, Glos, GL54 4BL.

The multi-award-winning 2000trees is a 5,000-capacity festival with a green ethos set in the rolling Cotswold Hills. Focusing on new and underground acts from the worlds of rock and indie, bands and artists who’ve played in the past as part of their meteoric rises have included Frank Turner, Frightened Rabbit, Band of Skulls, Public Service Broadcasting, Dan le sac Vs Scroobius Pip, Wolf Alice and Hundred Reasons. The three-day event hosts more than 80 acts across five stages, as well as comedy, stalls and a silent disco. In 2010, 2000trees won the Grass Roots Festival Award at the UK Festival Awards.

Last year, BIMM students ran one of the five stages – The Forest Sessions area. It was such a success that we’ve been invited back again this year to do the same. The amplified stage will see a whole host of new BIMM bands and artists performing stripped-back and acoustic sets across all three days of the festival, and three of last year’s favourite acts will be returning. Up to 40 BIMM Event Management, Music Business, Music Production, and Live Sound and Tour Management students will be responsible for the stage, performing front of house sound, technical, stage management, runner and stewarding roles.
