  • “Glistening guitar struts like an oiled torso parading on the beach whilst thumping bass swaggers its punches as the percussion skips around the room as though the compère whilst vocal, rather than standing pivotal, flows naturally within the textures Voodoo And The Crypts unleash through the speakers.” – Emerging Indie BandsBrighton based quartet Voodoo And The Crypts have a sound drenched in shimmering guitar hooks, dreamy yet steadfast vocals and undeniably danceable grooves which “Despite connotations of surf beaches, reflects more of the volcanic turbulence that also exists as they take the cheerfulness to a more malevolent level.”“There is enough professional musicality and pop sensibilities to please mainstream radio stations and more underground audiences alike.” – The IndiependentA wide range of influences creep into their sound, from the ‘ Paisley Underground’ scene’ s rich vocal harmonies and jangly guitars, rhythms reminiscent of early 90’ s acid house and South American samba grooves and also a love for bands such as The Smiths, Joy Division, Happy Mondays, The Stone Roses, Primal Scream, Catfish And The Bottlemen, Peace and Foals. With a live set packed full of energy and musical dynamic, the four piece are fast becoming one of the most promising bands in Brighton’ s ever-growing music scene.
