Joe Dolman
BIMM Institute Brighton
  • Joe Dolman, 18-year-old singer-songwriter from Leamington Spa. Praised for his relatable lyrics and emotive live performances, Joe has been attracting attention from the public more than ever before. Backed by BBC introducing, Joe played at BBC Radio 2’s festival in a day at Hyde Park last summer backs him. He has since released his debut EP ‘Learning to Fly’ which charted in the top 10 in both the UK and US singer songwriter album charts.

His achievements are wonderfully impressive. When chosen as the BIMM Breaking act at the Music Week RADAR event, he performed a vitally important showcase event for a panel of heavyweight industry decision-makers: the crowd were so impressed, they sang along with him!

A cool and collected performer, Joe’s just at home on giant stages too: BBC Introducing picked him to play at the BBC Radio 2 Live in Hyde Park event. It’s the kind of huge gig that would give even the biggest, road-weary superstar the jitters, but Joe — ever the budding professional — nailed it with aplomb.

As thousands watched, Joe confidently played a set of his own gently melodic songs, including ‘Lost’, exposing his songs to an enormous new audience and media attention.

He’s looking to capitalise on that new audience now, as he releases his debut EP, ‘Learning To Fly’ — and is backing up the release with a gig at the legendary Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club in Soho on March 17th.
